UGHH. MAN, I’M RUSTY. 

I hadn’t sketched using my tablet in a while. Especially to draw a person. I was trying to warm up (for a commission! YAY!) but I need to get more comfortable with this thing first. Also, maybe it would have been better if I didn’t start it at 5 in the morning? It ended up being super weird & wonky.

Anywho, thanks to olgasface for being a tab I had open, and thanks to Olga for being my unwilling model.

Art heart attack. I wish I could follow your art blog twice because everything’s so good. 

I should finish this today because it’s his birthday, that’d be nice, but chances are I won’t. Also that Jeremy Lin I keep restarting and hating. And that drawing of Lacey from like 2 weeks ago. I hate me and I suck

So, I kept tinkering with this for hours, and then I kinda ruined it. It’s the same problem I have with real paintings, overworking. So I’m going to go back to square one (this) and work from there. It was an alright start I guess. I just get really mad when I don’t nail the likeness :(

Just Lin case you were wondering, maybe I started this a while ago and actually fell asleep last night, but whatever.

IT’S A START. 

Exceptionally minimal progress on my poopie doodle of Abel “I make you want to smoke all the drugs” Tesfaye. Not too happy with the likeness, which I’m usually okay with, but profiles are super weird. I’m really tired of drawing this, so I’m gonna put it aside for a while and work on a million other things. I needed to type that out because I’m just so important, and everyone wants to know how I feel.

There I go again, postin’ works in progress when no one’s up to see ‘em. 

Anyway, I landed on The Weeknd after a few skips, decided that was best. Look at how messy my “process” is. Nowhere near being done, but starting on a halftone is a good idea that I should utilize more often.

This may or may not be a peek at a work in progress of internet queen, Lacey. That may or may not be the first of a series of sketches of people I like from the internet that I may or may not dedicate a separate tumblr to, heavily inspired by Fatma’s way better project of a similar theme. And by similar, I mean I’m basically copying her.  

I’ve got a few people in mind, a lot of empty sketchbook pages, and I think this could be fun if I don’t give up on it.
